SELECTIONS - joists or rafters

• Select center bearing or full span
• Select spacing - 12 to 24 inch on center

Joist location is shown in red.

Joists and rafters are always at right angles to the ridge.

CENTER BEARING - for joists

If selected, joist spans from center to outside wall.

If not selected, joist spans entire building width.

Current joist or rafter span setting is shown on this page lower left.

After selecting center bearing or not, go to BEAM module to adjust the span.
